The best way to get involved and support Tri-State Creation Care is to promote our activities. Our promotion efforts are often limited to pulpit announcement and church bulletins. We depend on word of mouth and people helping to spread the word on social media. So invite your family and friends in whatever ways you can.
Start a Creation Care team in your faith congregation:
Effective care of our earth has to be done by our communities. The faith communities are a vital part of that movement. Churches need to be leading the way in energy efficiency, use of renewable energy, and earth friendly activities like recycling and sustainable use of their properties. If your faith community does not have a creation care team, consider starting one yourself. If interested, contact Tri-State CC and we will help get you started.
Engage in Energy Reform
Indiana is not positioned well to embrace an energy future that is sustainable and benefits all. Solar, especially private solar, must play a more prominent part in our future for affordability and being a clean source of power. Right now, the development of solar is severely limited by state law. We need our state legislators to loosen that stranglehold and help Hoosiers embrace the sun as our primary source of power.
